We are committed to promoting equal opportunities, dignity, and inclusion for women with disabilities and women raising children with disabilities. Through advocacy, community engagement, capacity building, and partnerships, we work to address barriers to participation, strengthen access to opportunities, and support women and their families to lead more independent and resilient lives.
What we do
LGPD Rwanda offers a range of programmes designed to support and empower persons with disabilities across different aspects of life.
Advocacy & Awareness
We advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities while raising awareness to eliminate stigma, discrimination, and harmful stereotypes. Through community campaigns, policy engagement, and public education, we promote a society where everyone is respected and included.
Women Empowerment
We empower women with disabilities and women raising children with disabilities through leadership development, life skills training, entrepreneurship support, and capacity-building programmes that strengthen their confidence, independence, and economic resilience.
Health Care Support
We work to improve access to quality and inclusive healthcare by connecting beneficiaries with essential health services, rehabilitation, mental health and psychosocial support, and health education, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Inclusive Education Support
We promote equal access to education for children and young people with disabilities by supporting inclusive learning environments, advocating for accessible education, and providing educational assistance to vulnerable families.
